Can anybody suggest a sequence of adjustments for setting up a clarinet? After repadding several instruments I've run across a few problems with pad lift height and key interactions causing intonation problems. I've been able to resolve these mostly by trial and error, but I realize there has to be a better method. Can anybody recommend a publication where I could find this info concisely laid out? Thanks in anticipation.

I believe this may be a manufacture specific thing (or even, specific to model of certain era of a a certain manufacturer sort of thing).
All I know is that I ran into a repairman of repute who loves to really open up the pad heights on the bottom to make the horns play louder, but yes, for me it caused heartache over the uneveness of timbre and ..........yes, pitch.
