Does anyone know any good trios for this instrumentation? I know of the Mihlaud and khachaturian but is there anything in the classical period or a little lighter than the khachaturian?

Thanks

I can highly recommend a piece called Sunny Days by Ohio composer Rick Sowash. If you go to his website, there is a free download of at least one of the movements. We did this entire four movement piece on a recital last year. It is fun to play and was very well received by the audience!

Thanks,
I did look at the site. There are some great pieces but there are alot of transcriptions there. I do not mind doing transcriptions but they are sometimes hard to come by.

How would I find some of the transcriptions? (I looked at a few publishers and they did not carry many of the pieces)

I really liked the Kegelstatt Trio by Mozart . . .

Kegelstatt is for clarinet, viola (not violin) and piano.

Best regards,

Whoops. Clearly typed violin, but for some reason I read 'viola'. Sorry.
