Hello! Is anyone familiar with either the clarinet professor at U of I or the bands there? Just curious.

Yes -

I know Dr. Harris who is the clarinet professor there. I think he is a good and he has had some very talent students.

The undergraduates are okay, could be better, like anywhere else I guess.

It's a great school for music ed students, you get a top notch education as far as education is concerned and you are still held to resonably high standards as a performing musician.
