 Orchestra??

Quick question for those who attend (or have attended) Northwestern University for graduate school.....

What are the playing opportunities available in terms of ensembles (ie, how many orchestras)? I was informed that they used to (or may currently be on) a system where you can't do orchestra 2 quarters in a row? Is this true, and how do people who have attended (or currently attend) feel that this affects their study while in school? Is there a separate orchestra for graduate students or just one??

Not trying to bad mouth any program, just looking for honest opinions. I am looking at Northwestern for grad school, but my goal is to be an orchestral clarinetist, and I would think (especially considering all the fine clarinet players that most likely attend) that it would be hard to gain experience for this ultimate goal if the quarter system thing is true........

Any help is appreciated and thanks!
