This is supposed to be very good (I've never been to it, but was told so by someone I trust). They have workshops and bands...You get to choose between being in a "reading" band (you get music but have to arrange), or an "ear" band (you play by ear).

Can't afford to go right now. Maybe next year. It is held the week between Christmas and New Years.
