Are there any happy stories to share about recent good oboe cane purchases?
I am especially interested in tube cane 10.0 - 10.5 mm or 10.5 - 11.0 mm that is relatively stable and produces a decent American style reed using .58 - .60 mm gouge dimension.
I do have a couple thousand pieces of aged cane producing aprox. a %30 yield of resonable reeds, but from previous experience, that means my supply is getting low...
Any happy stories to share will be appreciated.
