I've been playing oboe for about 6 years on my school's instrument, a Fox Renard 330. I'm really interested in getting a used instrument (preferably a Fox 450 or Fox 300 or a Bulgheroni FB-105) when I go to college. I prefer a plastic top joint and a wood body and bell which the Fox 450 has... But I'm sort of concerned about traveling all over the place in temperamental weather so I think the Fox 300 is better since it is completely plastic.
I'm on a really tight budget... 'Cause college tuition really expensive even with scholarships and I'm going to take out huge loans.
Are there any other recommendations for oboe models?
