So, I have to play the last portion of the fourth mvt of Grantham's Southern Harmony for concert band. It's mm= 160 for the dotted quarter note and in 6/8 time. Pretty fast. During the ending sequence, for one bar, it alternates from high Eb (above them staff) to high Db, starting on the Eb. I looked at the trills, but they all sound pretty bad, and its coming from diatonic eighth notes up the scale, so going to a strange trill fingering (which doesnt sound good to begin with) is awkward. Are there any keys I can leave down, or any tricks to help this sequence run smoother? thanks for any help.
