Those compact bass clarinets are really cool. I have a mouthpiece for one, however sadly I have not been able to buy the rest of the instrument. If it went to low C I would be very tempted.

It is similar, but different enough that they could not be used interchangeably. Here is a photo comparing my Wurlitzer to the Buffet mouthpiece. The tenon cork is 0.5mm wider on the Buffet and the tenon is much shorter. The window is also too wide for German bass clarinet reeds.

Yes, an alto clarinet reed is the closest thing that fits.
