Differences between German system clarinets

Does someone here have personal experience about differences between various makers and models of German/Austrian system clarinets? How did they differ concerning sound and intonation?

I'm looking for such a soft, velvety and at the same time full, compact and dense sound as possible. I don't care about projection, I'm not fond of a vibrant sound, and I try to avoid shrillness, nasality, airiness, brittleness and similar sound characteristics.

I know that such as mouthpieces, reeds, ligatures and the player him/herself also matters, but this question is primarily about the clarinets themselves.

In general (taking out the specifics you mention) I would say that you are looking more for an Austrian instrument (and mouthpiece). The acoustics and bore are geared more in the direction you describe.

I would highly recommend looking at the Gerold Clarinet (Gerold Angerer), but if you are looking used (or less that $10,000 a piece), you have Hammerschmidt and some others to add to the list.
