I'm talking about anything from general books, technical studies, etude books, and excerpt books. Which ones are your favorites and why? Looking to find information on any of these types of books for various levels of the clarinet from beginner to advanced performer.

I have dozens of good books but for the fundamentals basic study it's hard to beat "The Art of Clarinet Playing" by Keith Stein

Clarinet for Dummies by the late David Etheridge. Also his 3 volumes A Practical Approach To The Clarinet.

I helped Dave Etheridge in the proofreading of all the books prior to publication. There is an abundance of very useful information along with specific repertoire and excerpts to demonstrate teaching points.
It's a nice culmination and legacy to his excellent teaching style, and I was honored to have helped him.

I "second" the Keith Stein book. A rather amazing collection of thoughtful chapters full of helpful tidbits. I keep going back to it to pick up more details, time and again. OK, the language is a bit "dated", but to me that adds to its charm.
