El Salon Mexico is not BSO's finest performance! Sloppy rhythms, entrances, even some wrong notes. It's so good to hear they are human too
Harold Wright, on the other hand, sounds in complete command. Very nice to hear someone stick to what's on the page and actually make it work!

Buddy Wright and Eddie Daniels, great players and both good friends of mine.
I loved what they did with the Copland, he would have loved both versions!

I was able to hear the whole thing via Clarence's link.
Thanks for this, Wright is one of my other all-time favorites, and hearing him play the Copland was a pleasure. The clarity and vibrance of his sound agrees with the piece, I think...
