There is a band in a nearby town that I would like to play in one day. I already play in a community wind symphony and clarinet ensemble but would like to expand my musical endeavors.
the band i'm interested in requires an audition and to be able to play atleast grade 5 music.
I dont know what level that is but I'm guessing its above me.
can someone give a few examples of grade 5 concert band music?
what level is pineapple poll? That is one piece we tried in wind symphony. It was a little challenging for me. I guess for the whole group cuz we never played it.
Thanks, Jan

A quick Google search suggests Pineapple Poll is about grade 4.5, so you're almost there! Practise, practise and more practise is really all you can do. Audition and see what happens
Never Bb, sometimes B#, and always B natural! ♫♪

Step one should be to attend some of their concerts to see what music they play and how well they play it. Knowing how well you play, decide if you realistically expect to make the group.
Step two is talk to their band members. Find out if they are accepting new members and if there is a waiting list. A good start on becoming a member of any group is to get a recommendation from an existing member. At the very least, you will get an answer to your question about audition music.
