He's an optimist. Must be hoping there are idiots out there.
A few years ago there was a similar thing on that auction site we are not allowed to mention. Someone was trying to sell a Boosey & Hawkes Emperor for a few thousand pounds - over priced by a factor of 10.

one of these went on TASTCNBN for about $35, another for $99 if I remember right. Pierre Dumont wasn't a maker AFAIK but a dealer. I have seen chinese clarinets that also are using this name - they all seem to have the same serial number

I have one of those I got for about $35 to practice repairing. When I got it, it looked like someone had rolled the lower joint under their foot and not a single key worked. It now works great. Maybe with all the repair work and the new set of pads, I should start it at $9,000 or so.

according to the listing, it has a "celestial tone"- that alone has to make it worth 7500 bucks.

Maybe it includes that table it's standing on, maybe that's worth something. Like antique dealer code for Chippendale or something :P

But it also comes with "new wax." That has to count for a lot, right?
