The title pretty much says it all. Me and two of my friends are doing a french project on classical music, and we're going to do a demonstration. To demonstrate different types of clarinets, I'm going to play A, one of my friends will play Eb and the other will play Bb. The one playing Bb is just learning. Like, nothing faster than an 8th note, only in the chalumeau register and no huge leaps. Doesn't matter what instrument the trio's for or what key; we'll be writing it out again anyway for our instrumentation. I, unfortunately, don't have any trio books, so that won't work. After that long ramble, I guess what I'm asking for is a short, classical trio with a really easy third part that I can get on the internet for free. (Something public domain). I don't know, it might be a bit of a tall order, but I've been coming up with blanks, so if anyone has any ideas that would be great!

Log on to <8notes.com>, it has free sheet music. Click on "wind groups" then "clarinet trios". It has three trios with easy third clarinet parts. All are in the same key, so you will have to transpose. I would recommend PAVANE by Faure. Good luck, especially to number 3 !

Can you get two more players? If so, you can tackle Purcell's "Fantazia on one note". The third voice of the five does nothing but sustain C4 throughout the piece.

I would recommend having a look at IMSLP.org, which has the definite collection of public domain sheet music.
As for your trio search: how about taking a simple piano tune that everybody knows (e.g. Beethoven's "Für Elise") and arranging a trio out of that ? Gives you the freedom to make the bass line as easy as you want it.
