A colleague of mine recently bought an old buffet Bb clarinet and in the case was an O'Brien crystal mouthpiece, marked Nov 1974, 4+.
The mouthpiece is in good shape with no nicks in the tip or side rails.
I remember hearing that some people collect these mouthpieces.
He was wondering how much this mouthpiece would fetch these days.
Thanks,

They are fairly common on That Infernal Internet Auction Site --- check there for how much people have paid for them in the recent past. They don't fetch anywhere near the kind of money that, say, Kaspars do (or recently, anything with the word "Chedeville" on it -- go figure!).
I've refaced plenty of O'Briens, and I've found most of them to be very stuffy and 'brittle' sounding as received. But of course, they can be fixed.

expect around $60-$90
