 Back from Europe, new clarinets
Author: Aussie Nick

Hi all. I just got back from Europe where I was on a youth symphony tour, and then stopped by the Buffet factory outside Paris. THey gave me a selection of RC Prestiges and Toscas to choose from, and I ended up getting a pair of the Prestiges. We got a tour of the factory, lunch provided and refreshments. It was such a good experience, the people there are wonderful. We tested the instruments with their strange looking tuning machines, and they each play near perfect. Plus I got through customs without any worries so very very happy with that :) Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and contacts of music stores in Paris etc.

Good to hear. [toast] Were I you, I'd be searching for some old posts about guarding new instruments against certain phenomena, know what I mean?

Great new clarinets and a great, memorable experience getting them.

No, just curious ... I'm sure you had a ball, I remember SYO's tour to Asia (years ago) ... had my first experience of a "evil American" in the form of a wicked Long Island Iced Tea ... reaquainted myself quite recently, will I ever learn?
