Has anyone been to either of these festivals? I have been accepted to both of them and am trying to decide which would be better for me to go to, obviously having experienced neither. I have to decide asap! I am mainly an aspiring orchestral clarinetist with chamber-music interests. Any advice would be appreciated!

Isn't round top in july and sarasota in june? I thought I knew some people that did both, but that was awhile ago. I know a bunch of people who went to both and they both have good reputations, but the caliber of the strings at Sarasota are often much higher. Who are the masterclasses/lessons with at each? I always relish the chance to do intimite chamber music projects during the summer; many of us get enough orchestra during the year and summer pops.

I don't know how it has been in the past, but the dates do overlap this summer. The staff at Sarasota is Frank Cohen and Eli Eban, and at Round Top, Hakan Rosengren and Jerry Kirkbride.
