The Elements |
|||
Written | 2007 | ||
Duration | 15:51 | ||
Comments | The four movements each represent the 4 archetypal classical elements. These elements are used to describe the make-up of the world. My translations into music are simply descriptions of the elements, not an attempt to look through the shadow and see the matter itself. Water is composed using long fluidic melodies, Earth with much pounding on the piano, Air is a long slow set of variations, and Fire is a firey piece in a kind of honky-tonk style. | ||
