 intonation

I play the clarinet, and i have this measure in my music which requires me to go up to a really high D. I have to play it a forte. Whenever I hit it i am always about 20 cents flat. Is there any excercise or anything i should do to make it in tune?

I'm going to assume you mean the D above the staff, not the one above that. To stay in tune in the upper register you need to keep your embouchure firm. A good exercise is to take a tuner and play long tones, starting from middle C and then upward and checking to make sure each note is in tune. Try to take each note to extreme pp and extreme ff. This will help you with control of the note. It's also good for progressing much higher into the altissimo register which you're going to need to learn sooner or later. Good luck and happy tuning.
