Where are the reeds you're using coming from? Do you have any oboe friends or is there someone you could take a lesson from, perhaps in the local symphony? If your reeds are garbage it will not play in tune. Also, a new bocal could work wonders for your horn, it is amazing the difference between different ones. Might want to check that out after you get a decent reed.
