I, too, was absolutely floored by my EH when I first got it. It's a wonderful thing, isn't it?? All that work to sound good on the oboe, and here's an instrument that actually HELPS you sound good! I'm one of the people who has a Howarth (s20c, not XL...), but I'm so glad you like your Fox.
Hit those low notes to your heart's content! I love the lowest notes the best
