One trick I give my students is to think that your support is lower than it actually is. Instead of feeling support comming from you diaphragm, imagine it coming from the floor. The minute I tell them to think about that, i start hearing a change. After a few weeks, their sound is considerably bigger. The advice seems to work no matter what scrape you use. I learned it from a German teacher, but my scrape is american (well, americanish... anyhoo, longscrape).
Just my two cents!
Good luck!
