HI Nick,
Sounds like there could be an issue with the set up of your b key ( ie. the 1/2 Whole).
You said: "The little hole in the key is small but not block at all and I play the Min D OK with out any problems at all."
There are various views about the shape of the 1/2 whole, some makers have a round whole, or a diamond. Many players drop small amounts of bees wax into the whole and shape it with a hot pin to their desired shape.
I personally do this and make a rounded shape, this helps with upper short fingerigns and some intonation issues around the 1/2 whole.
This is the sort of thing you should speak to a repair person ( if your teacher does not do this sort of thing) for you, some one like John Armstrong in Newcastle...
Anyone else got ideas about the shape of the 1/2 whole opening ?
