... my moist or dry reeds curve up more on the blade that doesn't have as much wood off as the other blade, can balance that better (if necessary) by taking just a bit more off the thicker side
... my moist reeds also tend to flatten more on the blade played by my upper lip and curve more on the bottom lip, so i turn reed over during its playing time to apply that different lip pressure to each blade about equal time
