I thought the whole point of the M2 was to prevent or significantly reduce the likelyhood of cracks happening, and also reduce the cost of a transplant.
But if it is the main body section that splits, then that's going to be costly on every instrument that splits, and a lot more costly than just a top joint splitting on a normal instrument.
