I have recently played a Fossati, and my GOD...
It's a good thing I'm maxed out on the card, or I'd have a new baby. It was the smoothest, most liquid, chocolate sound I have ever heard. The scale was beautifully even, the keywork (as I've always found with Fossati) was impeccably crafted and fit me like a glove. It also played easily in the upper register, which I did not expect; and the lowest notes were absolutely silken, and responded MUCH more quickly and delicately than I had anticipated for such an instrument.
Once again, Fossati strikes gold...
(Then again...I've never played a Loree bass, so I can't compare, I can only gush about this one. )
