Did anyone here ever get a gum graft?
I got a gum graft last Wednesday, incisor just above the chin.
For those who don't know what this is, I explained it in my blog:

The procedure went really well and the recovery seems good, but I'm wondering how long I should wait before starting to blow the oboe again..... my reeds are short-scrape, but definitely easier than most German reeds.
I need to play Schumann's 3 romances in October, so of course I'm going to have to "rebuild my face" and I hope someone here has some experience to pass on.
Thanks in advance.

I got my 2 week checkup: healing well and I can start playing again.
I'll start with ultra soft reeds to slowly build-up strength: the graft still has some healing to do.
I practiced maybe 15 minutes ... not comfortable because I have this bad habit of pressing the reed to the jaw. This does not actually disrupt the graft (just below the reed) but the pressure from the lip is not fun at all.
Perhaps this is a means to improve my embouchure...
