Well there are others... Albrecht Mayer, Francois Leleux, and many more. Talent is abundant.
Izotov has a very pure sound and precise for sure.

There are many other great oboists for sure.
But for American sound, I love what Izotov does. Maybe only 2nd to John Mack.
I suspect he may be an android.
Meyer I love, too and the forefathers of previous generations.
There is much to learn and to love in the world of oboe.
