 Origin of new end of Strauss Oboe Concerto???

Hello friends!

Consulting the original score of Strauss Oboe concerto I find that after number 57 the final its complete diferent.

Some people knows what its the history of this new final writed in all new editions???.

There was an interview with de Lancie that I can't find right now in the Double Reed, but he basically justified his cuts and shortening the end. I know there's his abbreviated end, the original end. Is there another one you have found?
