 English Horn reed crow

Hi everyone, what do you think is a proper pitch for an english horn reed's playing position crow? I personally think that the well accepted "C" for oboe is proven again and again to be true. How about english horn?

Howard

We have just had 'English Horn Month' in our studio, and it was reiterated many times in reed making class that the EH crow should be C#. I guess this is to do with the shorter length?

C is the preferred crow on my 1984 Loree cor, but one must do what works.

Depends on the voicing of the instrument and the length of your bocal. Martin tells us to shoot for a solid C and a C# after the wire, although that's for a long scrape A=440. I'm assuming you're playing higher.

So i assume this is concert C. I'll play around with concert C-C# and see what happens! Thank you all, godsend as usual!
