Hello,
I am looking for a Bulgheroni oboe dealer in US.
I live in Michigan and couldn't find any dealer except one in California (too far!)
Although the oboe is available in some online malls like wwbw, but I don't want buy oboes in those online malls.
I would appreciate if someone let me know any Bulgheroni oboe dealer in midwest or east area in US.
Thanks you.

The Woodwind and Brasswind is US dealer for Bulgheroni
However, WW&BW does not stock the "MUSA" model oboe.
In my estimation, the Bulgheroni "Opera' model oboe is one of the very finest professional model oboes being made nowadays. About $6500
The Violetwood "Opera" model (special order) is truly sensational...
The Violetwood seems to add extra dimensions to the complexity of the sound...

You can also buy them from The Reed Room in Utah, who I also believe is a sponsor of this site. http://www.thereedroom.com/page/oboes
When you are dealing with something like an expensive handmade imported musical instrument, you generally have no choice but to deal with the internet and mail-order. Particularly in the case of oboes, it is HIGHLY unlikely that you will live near any shop that stocks a wide variety of high-end instruments, particularly by makers such as Bulgheroni that are rarely played in America.
That said, I played a Bulgheroni for quite some time, and they are wonderfully made oboes that sound absolutely gorgeous. It is well worth ordering a few to try.

After reading Peter Hurds site (Hi Peter!) you will find great and unbiased commentary on all of the major makers. He is right on the money on the Bulgerhoni oboes!
One of my college students just purchased an Opera Model from the IDRS convention. EXCEPTIONAL -- Chocolaty velvet tone, wonderful keywork, smooth sound, tuning is unbelievable! I played this horn for about 30 minutes and fell in love with it.
I love my AK Loree, however I can assure you my next horn will most definitely be the Bulgheroni Opera Model.
Superb instrument in every respect! In fact, I have played many Royales, AK, Reg bore, etc and many other brands. This Bulgheroni has everything that a Royale does minus the extra weight. I would buy this horn personally over most of the Loree's I have played in a minute.
Glad to see some new makers on the market!
