I 'll vent that while at the cottage, I made 10 reeds and I only have one that works half-decently right now out of all of those...bah!! I finally bit the bullet and ground down my knives, hopefully that will help. I don't know of Mark Ostoich, what orchestra does he play with? That's super-exciting that you're going for oboe!! I personally go to Wilfrid Laurier (I'm in the province of Ontario, in Canada) and study with James Mason. I doubt you've heard of him, but he's a great teacher. Good luck with your reeds, and cane.
