*sobs*...that would seem to describe my life every other week...wait, that's more like every other day! :P
Good luck with the reeds...you might want to find the local pro oboeist (the teacher at the school you're going to? What school are you going to anyway? Who's the oboe teacher there?) and get a lesson with them and ask them to work on your reeds. It's amazing what most teachers can do with reeds that you think have no potential at all!
