I have a large collection of stands for most instruments having done some pit work. I have quite a few of the K&M stands that fit in a clarinet bell, and a Hercules triple stand (flute, clarinet, picc), all of which are fantastic but don't quite fit an oboe on satisfactorily - the slope at the bottom just doesn't sit right with the bell of an oboe.
What stands does everyone use for both/either oboe and cor (I would love to get a multi-purpose oboe/cor stand like the Hercules for future purposes). Is it worth investing in one of the Hamilton or K&M peg bases and buying appropriate pegs for each instrument?

YES: buy an appropriate peg for each instrument.
I trimmed my oboe peg to accomodate an English horn, but I'd rather use the double stand (oboe/EH) because it's more stable.

I swear by the Blayman style with individual pegs for oboe/EH. Nothing can tip them over. I have no concerns leaving instruments sitting on them and walking away at breaks. A fraction of the potential expensive repair price. (I will wedge a clarinet on one of the pegs sometimes...of course the repair or instrument replacement is a quite bit cheaper risk.)

If you already have a Hercules modular stand, their German clarinet pegs are designed to fit oboes as well - I find they work much better than the standard flute/clari peg. They're a bit harder to find, but try eBay or Amazon and one should show up.
As for cor, I've only played one a couple of times for dedicated orchestral parts so can't comment on how they interact with Hercules (or any) stands.

I second Cooper's recommendation of the Jeanne stands. I have used one for the past 3 years and it has served me well. The stand is secure and I have never had an issue with mine

I just use the K&M stand made up of the 2 flat plastic pieces that slot together. Model for oboe. Nothing beats these for portability. If I have both instruments out, I will also use the K&M EH one, which comes in 3 parts (2 slotted pieces + base). It is a bit cumbersome, so I don't like it much. At home, I tend not to use it but just put the EH on the oboe stand, which supports it sufficiently enough. I've pondered getting a multi-instrument peg stand, but for my purposes, just too heavy and bulky to carry around.

I mostly use Jeanne stands, which are fairly similar to the Blayman. There's another maker (Valentino?) who sells at JL Smith who has flute stands in a very similar fashion. Both Jeanne and Valentino are cheaper than Blayman, and actually they're all interchangeable in their bases/pegs. So, if you prefer the base from one and the pegs from another, you can easily do that.
My other stand that I use, depending on how many instruments I need (the bases of the a fore mentioned stands are HEAVY!!), is the K&M stands made up of the metal cross base, and will fit 4 instrument pegs.

I like the look of the Jeanne stands - especially the triple clarinet one with the Eb peg sitting higher than the Bb and A pegs.
I use a K&M double oboe/cor stand and adapted it to fit three pegs all in the same line. Two oboe pegs on the outside and a cor one in the middle.
I made a high density foam doughnut spacer which fits on the cor peg if I use d'amore (so it doesn't stick on the peg) along with oboe and cor or on one of the outer (oboe) pegs and also if using an Eb clarinet along with Bb and A.

When I am playing exclusively OB/EH I use the Blayman stands. VERY heavy -- with fitted pegs for both. Have had it for nearly 15 years. Best stand I have ever encountered.
