 Eastman Oboe Reeds
Author: hautboy

Has anyone ever heard of Eastman oboe reeds? The local instrument repairman gave me one to try. Not a bad reed, a bit soft though (it was a medium) Might not be bad for students. I would like to try a medium hard reed but the guy I got the reed from only has medium and I can't find any info. on them. I would ask the person who gave me the reed, but he would probably prefer that I buy reeds from him rather than order them on my own. I was just wondering why I couldn't find any info. on them.

Hi,

I just googled the name and found some here:

http://www.hickeys.com/cgi/display.cgi?page=ob35.htm

They have them in "medium" and "hard".

Cheers!

O.
