In a 2004 thread entitled ''QUITTING THE CLARINET COLD TURKEY'', John Gibson (a drummer) wrote, in part...............

''Do I miss drumming? YESSSSSS........more than I can express....not only was it a musical expression.....it was aerobic exercise. Unlike clarinetting.....''

The thread was closed immediately thereafter, so no responses were able to be put up thereafter.

Well, I started as a drummer in the Australian Army, and it was hard work naturally enough. However, I'd hazard a guess and say that John Gibson has never been a clarinettist!!
