But this is not a Schreiber-made instrument, Chris. This clarinet predates the move to Germany by quite a few years. The B-series, as near as I can tell, were probably made in the 1940s or 50s. Evettes weren't made in Germany until the late 1970s. According to Buffet advertising materials, the "Sponsored by..." Evettes were made in a separate factory in Paris (which may actually have been the Malerne factory, hence "Sponsored by..." or not) under the supervision of Buffet craftsmen. Pictures of the keywork might help date the instrument.
FWIW, as I recall, the search engine on the B&H site only included the D-series Evettes. The date given for D1 was 1960. I've never seen a serial number list for any earlier Buffet student-model clarinets.
