Backun Musical Services is looking for apprentices to train as musical
instrument builders and assemblers. We are a Burnaby, BC, Canada-based business that manufactures Woodwind instruments, specializing in Clarinets and
accessories.

We are looking for people to train under Morrie Backun and our staff to
assemble and build our instruments. The successful applicant(s) will exemplify the qualities below:

- Knowledge working with precious metals and/or wood with previous assembly
experience (instrument technicians, jewelers, tech assemblers, skilled
tradespersons)
- An unbelievable attention to detail and patience when working under tight
deadlines
- Ability to learn on the fly and master intricate handwork while
maintaining superior quality standards
- Great hand-to-eye coordination with manual dexterity plus skills using
manual techniques and machines
-Knowledge of Clarinets and the ability to play them well is an asset

experience and overall fit with this position and our company. If you've
made it this far, you probably recognize we are not looking for some random
application that was submitted with little thought. We cannot stress enough
that this is a career and not a "job." Please keep this in mind when

Compensation is commensurate with experience and ability. We offer great benefits and a rewarding work environment.
Schedule is 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Will it be possible for U.S. citizens to work in Canada? How difficult would that be?
