Who was the clarinetist that took top honor for clarinet in the 1897 Solo de Concours?

(Premiere Fantasy by Gerorges-Eugene Marty)

Would you also be able to tell me what the sight-reading piece was?

Thanks.

Brian

The winner was Louis Gazilhou.

You can find more information about winners in The Clarinet, Vol. 15, Issue 3 (1988) and the sight-reading pieces in The Clarinet, Vol. 39, Issue 2 (2012).
