 Bass clarinet case

Hey all!
After a long hiatus, here I am.

Ok, I am looking for a soft, travel, backpacky case for my Noblet low Eb (2 piece body). I know Protec makes a oner for a one piece body, but anyone know where a twobey can be found? I am still a poor musician, so I need something affordable as well. :)

The Bam cases are pretty good, but expensive.

Maybe Ortola do a similar and more affordable model.

Yes, the BAM case is really nice. Much better than the stock case from Selmer and similar to what the new Buffet cases are, with the addition of an extra outside pocket. Really secures the instrument well.

You will like it!

Don't Bam make the light cases for Selmer?

I know about the BAM bass case, but is that the only one? Protec makes only a one bodied case, and I haven't seen any other softcases for bass.

And I'm pretty sure BAM makes the cases for Selmer too, they just don't put their name on it. :P

Though no doubt Selmer probably charge loads more for the same case as it has 'Selmer' on it.

What about a Ritter bassoon case?

Hey CG,
If you're really poor (or as cheap as I am) and have no aesthetic sensibilities whatsoever (I don't), then here's the absolute, bottom-of-the line Scrooge Solution: Buy a small roll of bubble-wrap at Wally-World, along with an inexpensive gym bag or small duffel bag. Wrap each of your bass clarinet parts in a long sheet of bubble wrap, and place each in the bag. Total investment less than $20 US.

I would consider a fun at homeprettier alternative; a little more user friendly than bubble wrap. I remember the thread about the do it yourself clarinet double case, I wonder if I could pull out one for the bass. lol.

I already have a BAM for my Bb and A, but buying another for the bass right now, as I am jobless, would be out of the question. The main reason I brought it up, is that I had a gig in Cali last month and ended up dropped my bass on my foot. OW! The heavy, no name double body case is heavy.
Well, I only needed to play ONE concert of the whole 5 days, and what happened? My Eb/D# key's flat spring busted! And I needed that note a whole bunch. Gaffers tape later, and a messed up solo, the thing is still busted.

The case is the generic one with the blocks you hammer in, and one of the blocks shifted, which probably didn't help with me dropping it. *sigh* And I was fumbling with a bookbag (which had a laptop and my eefer in it) and my rolly luggage, so a bookbaggy alternative would help greatly. :P

Go ahead, point and laugh. =D
