The good thing about these barrels is that they are probably as good as the day they were made. With wooden barrels the dimensions often change with prolonged and constant use, but not with synthetics.
(I have a very nice wooden barrel that was measured in 2011 and again in 2016. In the intervening time one end had a different measurement, and the bore had become slightly oval. My 66mm Moennig changed dimensions also, yet other barrels- a Chadash and a Lomax/Zinner seemed NOT to undergo change. Every bit of wood is different, and ages differently)
