I used one (34xxx?) for 60 years before replacing it. The clarinet played well with one significant shortcoming: tuning from one register to another. The clarion register was sharp compared to the chalumeau. Having the register key replaced with a longer one reduced this problem. And the altissimo was sharp even after the register key replacement, but using different fingerings allowed me to get close.
I had no problem with cracking. The keys were durable and, with the dull finish, no plating or corrosion problem.
I replaced it with a Libertas.
