I can't find the old threads on this topic. Some years ago I went to a mattress store, who cut me out 3 layers bedding foam that I used in a Platt industrial case to hold my A/Bb/C clarinets.
On another post I described my Stephen Fox modified alto clarinet; he supplied a minimal case for it, which was inexpensive enough for shipping, but i needed something better.
Check out your local Pelican Case outlook store - a lot of them have scanners and CNC foam cutters to measure and design just the case you want. You won't get something beautiful, but for relatively moderate cost you can get something to hold any combination of instruments. It won't be as stylish as a Wiseman, but this might not matter for 1/3 of the cost.
I brought the modified alto clarinet (low D) and my Eb clarinet, and they are making a case to fit both of them. There was space left over in the best-fit case for the alto, enough to fit the eefer and a tray for accessories. This is a molded plastic case with wheels and a pull-out handle.
In retrospect, maybe I should have had them do a Bb/Eb/AC case, but I think this will work well for me.
Status: the measuring is done but the designer was out sick last week. I hope to have the results in a week or so.
