Hi
I purchased a barely used Ridenour Lyrique RCP-576b last year as I was curious about a hard rubber clarinet. I own or have access to other good clarinets such as Buffet RC and a golden age BC20.
The Lyrique RCP-576b is surprisingly good with great sound and really in tune, much more than the BC20 for example. The keywork is also nice, so in all I am really happy with it, except.....
The stuffiness I find compared to my Buffets is strangely isolated to only the Clarion D. Clarion H and C are fine, also D# and E. Same with all notes in Chalumeau including the corresponding G.
Any suggestions what this might be? Is it a property of this instrument or is it something that might be adjusted?
