A new B45 will be the same basic design as yours but will have had various tweaks (quite a lot of these changes will simply be because of differences in manufacturing techniques). Your old mouthpiece may well be somewhat worn.
A new B45 may or may not play significantly differently to your B45. The only way to find out is to try one (or more than one) and see. Depending on where you live, you may be able to find shops that have a trial policy.
