NOLA Ken,
I had a long response which I accidentally erased by pushing a wrong key. NUTS!
Since March, when I first started this thread, I've learned quite a bit about Covid-19.
I'm going to make this much shorter. IMO, no special sanitizing techniques need to be done to the clarinet body. Not to the bore nor to the outside. Why? because a player's air is continually blowing out through the instrument.
I also contend that sanitizing the outside is pointless. If Covid-19 particles are floating in the air, or if you have touched anything that has the virus on it, your infected fingertips will transfer the virus to your keys and to parts of the clarinet body. I suggest just wiping down your instrument as usual, then, wash your hands!
To my knowledge, there are only 3 ways to catch this virus. One, obviously, is through breathing in the droplets floating in the air; Two, eating infected food; and Three, touching your mouth, nose, and eyelids with infected parts of your hand, especially the finger tips.
So, again, as to the clarinet body, I believe Paul's last response to be absolutely correct. Just maintain your clarinet body as you usually do and thereby protect the wood of your instrument.
