Normally I would recommend just repairing the damage, but in this case because you have such a nice instrument I think it’s worth finding a replacement just for the peace of mind. In addition to contacting Yamaha I would also check eBay as it’s a great place for finding spare parts. Remember you can also find a silver plated bell and have your tech swap over the original ring to make it correct.
