I've successfully cleaned up the inside of rough barrel sockets using a strip of sandpaper wrapped round an appropriately sized dowel. Cut a slot across the end of the dowel to secure the sandpaper.
I suspect that the barrel reamers you've looked at are intended for reaming the barrel bores, not the socketss, but as always I may be wrong here.
