Some of Kell's "Quiet Music" recordings are available on CD, mostly light classical tunes with lovely arrangements. His radio presence during WWII is well known. The recordings of this music I have heard give ample evidence of his consummate musicianship. He certainly did not think of himself as a jazz player, but his interpretations of this music show him to be a man in complete control of his instrument.

Great CD. That label has several CDs of historic recordings of great players from the past, as well as up-to-date recordings of standard and rare pieces. Also does similar CDs for sax.
